Abstract [en]
This work describes computer graphics with focus on the mathematics behind the scenes. Representations of three-dimensional objects, such as curves, surfaces, and solids are described. Integral and rational Bezier curves, B-splines and NURBS are used for the modeling of curves and surfaces. The objects can be visualized as projections and a useful model for defining the view of a scene, the synthetic-camera model, is described. Basic algorithms for rendering of lines and circles are discussed. Examples of interactive programs in Java which demonstrate rendering of lines, circles, ellipses, and Bezier curves, are given.
