Spatial mobility models are commonly used to evaluate protocol performance in mobile ad-hoc networks. Choosing parameters for such models so that they correspond to the target environments is not trivial. In this paper, we present a temporal connection model that we believe is better suited for the task. We analyze traces from real world adhoc networks in order to create models that correspond to the topological and temporal properties of these networks.
