Abstract [en]

An automatic settling test apparatus suitable for assessing the floc settling properties in water works using chemical coagulation is described. The equipment included a sampler surrounded by an enclosure tube, a turbidity meter, a control unit, and a micro-computer. The measurements could be carried out either manually or automatically, and the data are processed by the computer. Factors affecting the measurements are indicated.
