Abstract [en]

Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH) is developed by Ivakhenko on the basis of the pioneering works of Wiener, Gabor et al for non-linear system representation, and Rosenblott for the perceptron concept, to identify complex nonlinear systems of unknown structures. This paper describes GMDH as an identification and modelling tool for biotechnical processes. Several examples are considered by using a known simulated data. The identified models could be used further in analysing the processes by using online algorithms
