Skillnader i förankringseffekt som funktion av cerebral asymmetri
2016 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

This study investigates the sensitivity of the anchoring effect in highly right-handed individuals under selective hemispheric activation by hand contractions. Three hypotheses are formulated based on previous research; that the right hemisphere is relatively more sensitive to anchoring effects than the left hemisphere, high anchoring values generate relatively stronger anchoring effect than low anchors, and that the anchoring condition of valence does not have a direct impact on the strength of the anchor. The results suggest that hemispheric activation has some influence on the sensitivity of the anchoring effect, however, in the opposite direction than hypothesized. The results support the second and third hypothesis. The results are discussed as a function of the relative differences in callosal morphology.
