2006 (English)Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

This essay considers differences and similarities betwen the two fiction detective characters Sherlock Holmes and Inspector Morse. These two crime investigators are two of the most readable in the genre of detective novels, as well as their creators, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his literary colleague Colin Dexter. Thus the fact that there are similarities between the two, there are also differences. Their "active" life took place in different eras, which plays a role in their points of view of their time, as well as how society worked. All the same, the two detectives and their inventors have captured readers throughout a long time , and still the fascinating crime mysteries continue to attract readers all over the world for many years to come. Read and enjoy!
