2002 (English)Independent thesis Advanced level (degree of Master (One Year)), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

While working on their Bachelor’s thesis the authors became interested in the area of organisational development with a particular interest in elements that have a significant impact on the outcome of an organisational development. The result became what the authors called the Six Factors. The aim of the former thesis was to identify the Factors, but in order to be able to use them in practice and by that create effectiveness in organisational development it is necessary to examine them further. Therefore, is the author’s aim with this thesis to examine the Six Factors and develop them further. The theoretical influences in this thesis come from the area of Systems Thinking, where the authors have focused on Multi-modal Systems Thinking by Donald de Raadt and the area of Quality with focus on Beckford’s Barriers to Quality. To fulfil the purpose with this thesis an empirical study has been carried out at Vattenfall Kraft och Industri Service AB. The result from the research shows that the former Six Factors became the Eight Factors presented below: · The Resource Factor
· The Qualification Factor
· The Information Factor
· The Background, Purpose and Vision Factor
· The Feedback Factor
· The Motivation and Engagement Factor
· The Leadership Factor
· The Organisation Culture Factor
