Skillnader mellan två förslutningsmetoder, Angioseal och manuell kompression efter angiografiundersökning: En litteraturstudie
2014 (Swedish)Independent thesis Basic level (professional degree), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

After an angiographic intervention, the vessels should be sealed and that can be done in different ways. There are different sealing methods such as compressing manually, or using an Angioseal. The aim of this literature review was to study the differences between two vascular sealing methods - Angioseal and manual compression. In this literature review there are 11 scientific articles included, that we have found, read and analyzed. The results showed that there were no significant differences in terms of complications between Angioseal and manual compression. The conclusion of the literature review was that none of the studies showed that the patients had any major complications, with the closure system Angioseal. The patients experienced more difficulties with manual compression. As the patients felt more pain with manual compression they had difficulties to lie still for a long time. The patients experienced pain especially in the spine. With Angioseal instead of manual compression, the patients did not need to be observed for a longer time compared with manual compression, and could return home earlier.
