Logics for electric parking brake: function and safety

Abstract [en]

In this work a description of the logics to a electric parking break has been developed. Done with concentration on safety in the function. Thereby it involves failure detection and failure handling. The model is built with a software named Statemate by i-Logix. It is possible to simulate the model in real time. The simulation can be controlled from a graphical panel. The model shall be used as a specification when the actual control unit is developed. The parking break is controlled with a lever and the brake force is infinitely variable. The break is activated when the ignition is turned off, and released when the driver drives away. The latter is mainly triggered by the engine torque.
