Abstract [en]

Telecommunications is an exciting industry. High growth and a fast pace in an increasingly competitive market put demands on today's product suppliers. To stay ahead, suppliers must identify and respond to market changes quickly and smoothly. In this thesis the industry situation has been analysed with the competitors as focus. The competitors' strategic groups and their relative positions have been identified and from the information gathered, further analysis has been made to see what factors are the most important market powers for the RQIS department at Ericsson Erisoft AB. This is to ensure that their marketing department has the information they need for future planning.
