The aim of this study was to describe the experiences of outdoor activities for people over 75 years who live in their own homes. To answer the aim of the study 11 semi-structured interviews was conducted. Inclusion criteria were that the study participants had to be over 75 years old, live in their own home, not have cognitive impairments and that they spoke Swedish. Data were analyzed by qualitative content analysis and resulted in three categories: "Do as they did before," “Physical environment and seasons as a limiting factor," and "To participate and interact with others". The findings showed how the participants in the study felt that the physical and social environment affected their outdoor activities. Furthermore, also revealed that the fresh air affected the experience for the participants health and that participants were happy as long as they could perform activities outdoors.
