Abstract [en]

The boat industry is getting more and more competitive. There are plenty of ways to increase the sales and to stay competitive. One way is to increase the perceived customer value by updating the visuals of the boat. Anytec is a boat manufacturer with a long history of building aluminum boats. They strive to create the best experience possible as one practically flies through the seas. Anytec have their headquarters in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden but are operating throughout whole of Scandinavia. The goal of this project is to update the visuals of their old Anytec 750 SPD to represent a new sportier version: Anytec 750 SPD-R. This version is supposed to express speed, aggression and performance in a sporty, more luxurious package with better equipment. This report guides the reader through the different methods used during the project, explains the theories behind the creation and concludes with images of the final result with explanations of its design. The theories include areas such as semiotics and theory of movements and forces in form. The methods used vary from interviews made in the context research to sketching and 3D-modeling in the development face.
