Abstract [en]

At first we have purposed situation awareness to a wearable computer, allowing it to recognize certain situations and adapt or adjust itself to that. Secondly, we have defined a scenario trying to adapt the wearable computer to these kinds of situations. Then, we studied the different technologies we could use to implement it, and choose the best way to reach our aim. Summing up, our project have focused on the placement of markers and the camera for a property reception of the first ones, combining the most efficient technology and the best comfortable way for the people which are going to wear it. In our objective we have achieved to demonstrate that Computer Vision should work well in the real implementation of the system, adapting in the best way for our requirements: • Without big hardware which needs a specific environment • Simple and cheap • Movement freedom • Conformable for the users It also let the doors open for several improvements that are already in process such as the color patters, the possibility of new smaller cameras which would make the wearable computer more conformable...
