Dependability and LCC analysis of AMOS PT1
2002 (English)Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

Patria Hägglunds has a new designed turret system called AMOS. This system is still in a development phase, so it is necessary to make different studies. The purpose of this study is to do a dependability analysis and an LCC – analysis on this system focus on maintenance. These analyses are an integral part of Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) area which is a management and technical method that is needed to guarantee high operational availability of a system and low cost for the user. Hägglunds Vehicle AB has exclusively military customers, which demands that the equipment and systems they buy from industry must be developed and delivered with certain performance factors such as: • High reliability • Easy to maintain • High degree of supportability • Safe to handle and maintain • Low Life Cycle Cost • Easy to handle and conduct training on The results from these analysis shows that the operational availability is dependent of maintenance support cost. It is the customers who decide what availability the system should attain. In the LCC-analyse there is proposed improvements on the design and with this get lower life cycle cost.
