The individuation process in Breaktime by Aidan Chambers
2001 (English)Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor), 10 credits / 15 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

In this essay Aidan Chambers' juvenile book Breaktime is examined from a Jungian point of view. The fundamental idea is that the development that the protagonist in Breaktime goes through can be seen as being an example of what Jung has called the individuation process (the process by which an individual achieves self-knowledge).
