Identifikation i ungdomslitteratur?: En narratologisk analys av vampyrromanen Om jag kunde drömma av Stephenie Meyer
2014 (Swedish)Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

This paper is a narratological analysis of Stephenie Meyer's novel Twilight (enlarged edition) (2009). The aim is to show how Meyer manages to capture both girls and boys as readers. It is clear that Meyer succeedes to appeal both girls and boys by the enlarged edition of Twiligh. This by having it written in a first-person narrative, and by having the first chapter “Första anblicken” written from both a female and a male point of view so that the reader can identify with the character being focalized.
