Abstract [en]

This report describes the findings and results from a Master Thesis regarding ATM functionality in a PCI based router. The work has focused on the development of a device driver for an ATM network interface card. However, common ATM standards, device driver development in NetBSD and architectural issues regarding the network card and a standard PC environment are also considered.
