The purpose of this work aimed to investigate the industrial buying behavior at companies in the sign and display industry. The sign and display industry refers to the companies which sell signs of any kind. The report describes the company Södra Skogsägarna and their newly launched product DuraPulp, which is almost like plastic, but with the advantage of being more environmentally friendly.The companies which were interviewed in this report are among the biggest companies within the sign and display industry. The companies, HL Display, Systemtext and Antalis, were found through a number of interviews with people who have a great deal of knowledge within this industry. The companies which were interviewed were therefore some kind of a seller of sign products.This study proved that the theory about the industrial buying behavior is still valid today. The companies proved that choice criteria like price, quality and delivery security were among the most important ones. The retailer thought that price is important, but even more important was choice criteria such as working conditions and the rumor of a supplier. The buying process and the buying group were also similar to the ones stated in the theory.
