Abstract [en]

On Brokks machines sits today a mechanical quick hitch. By hitting in a wedge with a heavy hammer you attach the quick hitch in an adapter plate. It’s on the adapter plate you then attaches the tool. Because of the extra work that needs to be done to secure that the tool are attached and the increasing risk of personal injuries when the wedge are going in to the quick hitch, Brokk now wants to exchange the mechanical quick hitch in to a hydraulically or electrically quick hitch. Some of the requirement on the new solution where that it must have a safe locking, be operated with hydraulic or electric, should be fully exchangeable with the current quick hitch and it should also have a robust construction. The final solution was a hydraulically quick hitch there the wedge has been replaced by two single-acting cylinders. In the current situation, the final solution is only a concept and there is still some work to do before the solution can be implemented. Some of the things you should look into is according standard SS-EN 474-1:2006 + A4:2013 Bilaga B you can’t use a manual locking when you have a fully automatic quick hitch. A solution to that can be to use a cylinder with a spring that press the quick hitch in the maximum position. Then you use hydraulic pressure to get the quick hitch in the minimum position so the tool and adapter plate can be unloaded from the machine arm. Also to investigate which guide band and sealings that is needed in the top nut and piston.
