Abstract [en]

The first part of this thesis is about introducing damping material to a car frame made of beams. It contains basic damping theory as well as analytical calculations and evaluation of test results. The second part is about dimensioning damping material on car panels to achieve as good damping results as possible whith as little weight as possible. It contains basic damping theory as well as analytical calculations and evaluation of test results.
