The purpose of this study was to describe Occupational therapy interventions for children with ADHD in school environment. Fourteen articles were included in the study and were analyzed through a qualitative content analysis. Based on the analysis of the articles three categories was revealed. These categories were “Compensatory interventions to enable occupational performance”, “Adaptation of the environment to enable occupational performance” and “Protecting interventions to facilitate participation”. The result showed occupational therapy interventions involved children with ADHD in school. Interventions that the result described involved aids, adaptations of both social and physical environment and strategies for improving occupational performance and participation for children with ADHD in school. Based on the study the authors see a need of occupational therapists in school for children with ADHD.
