2004 (English)Independent thesis Advanced level (professional degree), 20 credits / 30 HE creditsStudent thesis
Abstract [en]

A case study of Virtual Meeting Services at MTU Aero Engines GmbH., Munich and VIVACE. It consisted of the aspect of both the market, development and customer. The task consisted of exploring the online conferencing solution sphere to find solutions for implementation in highly protected IT- environments. The result of this project was that two Virtual Meeting Services applications was suggested for implementation at MTU Aero Engines GmbH, Munich. Further more it was concluded that the general consensus between customers and developers is not fully developed. The view of what should be focused on is somewhat different: where customers want to be sure that the security level is high enough to avoid losing information and developers generally tend to focus on the functionality of their product and miss the security issue to some extent.
