The aim of this master thesis work was to determine a volume within which a car steering column can be placed, where the configuration of the steering column satisfies the conditions of maximum allowed amplitude of the output rotational velocity, and where also the phase shift and change in amplitude due to steering wheel adjustment is below a certain value. The assignment has been solved both numerically and analytically by using mainly two softwares, ADAMS and MAPLE with the Sophia toolbox.
