Characterization of the system maghemite H+ water

Abstract [en]

This thesis is a summary of several synthesis pathways of the iron oxide maghemite (gamma-Fe2O3). A second part describes the characterization of the produced maghemite used in the third part via BET-measurement of the specific surface area, X-ray powder diffraction and IR-spectroscopy. This third part examines the acid-base properties of the system maghemite H+ water. The Constant Capacitance Model is applied to the measured titration data.
