Expanding companies face a more complex environment today than ever. When companies expands the market, the IT-system do it as well. Often the IT system lack a way to communicate with other IT applications, this causes an inefficient communication on the company. Through years there has been tested different ways to solve integration problems, this has proven to be an intractable problem. There are many examples where the integration has failed because of the IT-systems don’t support the business process fully. One of the solutions that is on the rise, the service-oriented architecture (SOA), which by providing services that support the business processes can get the different parts of the IT systems to interact.The purpose of this report is to develop a service-based solution for the IT architecture of a growing real estate company with integration problems where separate applications manage its own customer data. This work aims to describe how customer data can be more reliable and thus contribute to a more effective information management at the company.We have used the TOGAF framework as a basis for developing a solution proposal of the real estate company´s IT systems. This solution is based on creating an application that manages the integration between the separate systems and allows for the registration of customer data via a web service that is managed by each property association for update. The solution is conceptual and thus also useful for other companies with similar problems. What today is limiting for the implementation of such solutions is the lack of a common integration solution where there is support for various ERP and applications to be integrated. The reason this is missing, we believe that the major players do not always see some gains in such cooperation. Integration is now costly to develop and maintain, especially for smaller companies, but we believe it is a necessary development in the increasingly demanding information society.
