Verification of crosstalk models

Abstract [en]

This thesis looks at the problem with crosstalk in the access network with focus on verification of the models used for crosstalk calculations. Crosstalk is noise generated by systems in a cable that disturbs other systems that uses the same range of frequencies at the same time. To verify these models, measurements have been done for different scenarios and then the same scenarios are simulated. When this is done, the model can be compared with the measurement. This report shows that the model works for crosstalk with few disturbers but mismatch when the number of disturbers is larger. The model will not be change as a result of these measurements but may be change when more measurements and analysis is done.
