This master thesis includes an evaluation and determination of which parameters that have effect on the dish result for a regular domestic dishwasher. An improvement of the dishwashers program time was made with the goal of reaching a program time less than 15 minutes. During the project several ideas have been evaluated with different test methods. Finally an optimal concept has been evaluated and compared to the original dishwasher. In this report all the ideas that were tested and of course the optimal concept are described. During the project the chemical aspects and the drying of the dishware have not been considered. The master thesis has been carried out during 1 November 1999 and 3 April 2000 at the department of Core Technology and Innovation / Innovative at Electrolux in Stockholm.
