Abstract [en]

This essay is about how the goldsmithing techniques in the organic style of Art Nouveau (AN) were invented or developed during this epoch. It explores the different techniques that exsisted at the time and will focus from the goldsmiths' perspective.This essay will take up a brief general information about AN. The paper discusses the primarytechniques used in AN, mainly enameling and its groupings, which were very popular during this time period. Granulation was also used during this time period though to a lesser extent, to become a more prominent technique in the Art Deco style.
