Conflicts can in today's society mean fear of people, this then conflicts can mean difficult situations for those involved in the conflict. Working life can also affect people psychologically when it comes to conflicts, this is when the work is competition and demands from the outside world that may affect the individual and create conflicts. The purpose of this study was to develop an understanding of conflict and conflict management based on a qualitative approach. To get an understanding of conflict and conflict management does this study focus on what conflict means, conflicts in the workplace, conflict management and conflict management methods. Questions: How is perceived conflicts in the workplace for managers and union representatives? How do management and the trade of conflict and conflict, there is no method in conflict management as the use of? The empirical data is gathered from open-structured interviews with eight respondents. Five of the interwievs are with managers and three are with union representative.The results revealed that a conflict means that the parties disagree on an issue, and this creates a clash. Conflicts arise according to the result due to unclear communication between the parties. The respondents in the study sets aside time for conflict management when they consider it necessary, time for conflict management is not scheduled. Regarding methods of conflict management leaders/- employers are working with methods where employers can convene and discuss various issues related to the organization in groups, large and small. In the study, one can get a deeper understanding of conflict and conflict management and as a manager/ leader find time on how one can work to reduce conflict and how to work with conflict prevention. Conclusion of the study is that the conflicts arising out of disagreements and unclear communication. Knowledge of Conflict Management for leaders can lead to conflicts handled faster and also reduce in the workplace.
