This thesis describes the development of building an interface to control a crane by Internet. Its construction principle is to decide all the material needed to control the crane, programme it, create a web page to give the chance to anyone to control it and think about different tasks and examples to offer the users, as much real and fast as possible. Thus the operator will manipulate the elements by means of visualizing the crane. This thesis also illustrates the interface design for a human-computer interaction. The design of the user interface will be implemented using a simple HTML and CGI programming, giving the possibility to use it in any web browser from everywhere. At the end it will be a web page which will give the user the opportunity to control a crane located in the LuleÅ’ University of Technology (Sweden) with different kind of tasks and movements.
