This report describes a process for implementing automatic validation of CAD models in order to save designer time. The entire process is described in detail from how information was gathered onto how software was configured and what it's purpose was.

The result was a validation system run from Teamcenter where models can not be released for manufacturing until they have passed the validation checks that are decided on forehand should be run on the models. With room for errors in the checks possibility for the designers to override the validation results exists to force the process ahead.
