Abstract [en]

Making decisions to improve the road network to bring about greater accessibility can be supported by tools that assist the decision process. This thesis is about creating such a tool for Stockholm. It is desired to use available data to see if an effective tool can be implemented, this tool will support analysis of the road network, resulting in lower costs and better accessibility. The tool will achieve this by facilitating effective use of resources and analysis

There are several areas which need to be covered to create this tool. These are: Finding the drive times for vehicles between locations from the raw data. Mitigating uncertainties which comes from the fact that the input is lacking in detail. Create aggregates to reduce the amount of data points and enable visualization of the data. Explore JavaScript visualization frameworks, plot types and options which work well with large data sets. Create a web interface that enables a user to query, visualize and explore the data to find routes of interest.
