Abstract [en]
Cement is an essential element for the production of concrete and a necessity for economic development. It is estimated that around 3 billion tonnes of cement are produced annually. However, its production is extremely energy-intensive and is responsible for the 7% of the total CO2 emissions caused by man. Present work investigates hydrate stability, by XRD follow-up, resulting from Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCM) hydration.
