Abstract [en]
This work is performed at BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik, which is a company in the defense industry. The company is most known for their tracked vehicles, both for civilian and combat use. Their solutions belongs to the top layer of tracked vehicles. But with the current environmental situation, a new solution to the power train of the tracked vehicle BvS10 has reached a concept state.
During a project course at Luleå tekniska universitet, in collaborations with BAE Systems Hägglunds, a gearbox was designed for this concept. This prompts a continued work to implement the new gearbox in the BvS10. Solutions for mounting the gearbox to the bevel gear unit and mounting the gearbox to the hull is then needed. This goal of this work is to come up with solutions for these matters.
Two concepts for the mounting between the bevel gear unit and gearbox was developed, but with further calculations and practical problems with lack of space, one of the concepts could be eliminated. The other concept resulted in the final solution.
The solution for the mounting between gearbox and hull was decided to be a conceptual solution due to the high risk of changes to the hull causing the solution to not fit. To come up with a conceptual solution, the components were split up and a recommendation and discussion was given in each category. This solution can then be used when a detailed solution is to be made.
