Lulea University includes a large teacher training college, a growing college of music and a qualified economics and business administration programme. In total there are now 3500 students at the university and almost 2000 students in engineering. Together with the six large Swedish university cities, Lulea has permanent research facilities within the technical faculty. The library is a service institution for the entire university, and actually consists of three libraries: the Technical University Library and the Teacher Training College Library, both in Lulea, and the Music Teachers Training College Library in Pitea.
