Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This report details the design and development of an activation process for a business system, with a focus on improving user experience. The project was divided into three phases: the inspiration phase, the ideation phase, and the implementation phase. In the inspiration phase, eyetracking studies and user tests were conducted to identify problem areas and user needs. The results highlighted difficulties in locating and understanding functions, providing direction for further development. During the ideation phase, various user flows were designed and tested to optimize user-friendliness. Pagination was chosen over scrolling to reduce information overload and increase focus. Iterative testing reduced the number of concepts to two, which best met user needs. The implementation phase resulted in a final activation page with four steps: Version, Add-Ons, Licenses, and Payment. Each step was designed with user-friendliness in mind. Features such as selecting a company version, add-ons, licenses, and payment were integrated in an intuitive way. The contents of the shopping cart and the user's choices were clearly visualized throughout the process. After the purchase is completed, an order confirmation page summarizes the purchase and provides the user with instructions on how to get started with the system. The placement of navigation buttons and the design of the progress bar were optimized to be always accessible and easy to use. Through careful analysis and user testing, we have created an activation process that is clear, efficient, and user-friendly, significantly enhancing the overall experience for Blikk platform users.
