The piece (LIGHT - DARK) was premiered by Sören Hermansson in Studio Acusticum, Piteå, Sweden in January 2024 during the festival RESONANS, hosted by the Culture Society Kluster (Kulturföreningen Kluster).
The score, electronics and the visuals were made by the composer Jörgen Häll.

The work was not externally funded.
The title of the work alludes to the concept of Chiaroscuro, with it's concept of contrasting effect of light and dark.
The horn part explores the whole range of the instrument, with a certain focus on the lowest part of it's register.
The electronics is for quadraphonic surround system.
The visuals primarily consists of a generative 3D-landscape made in Max. The visuals were originally intended to be audio-reactive, but to facilitate the performance, they were pre-generated while being fed a recording of the piece as the input to the audio reactive system.
